NITROGEN

Nitrogen Generation

Due to its inertness and low reactivity, Nitrogen in both gaseous and liquid phase is used in a wide range of applications in many industries.

On-site generation of nitrogen allows for a constant and controlled stream of nitrogen supply at all times, whilst also providing a reliable and cost effective alternative to high pressure cylinders or expensive trucked-in liquid nitrogen.

There are a number of efficient methods of on-site nitrogen production depending on specifications such as purity, flow, power consumption and portability. Gas At Site systems range from 4 cylinder equivalents per day to multiple tons per day. Consultation with Gas At Site engineers will result in the preferred solution for your specific on-site nitrogen requirements.

PSA Nitrogen Generators

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is cost effective for on site-nitrogen generation at purities higher than 99% (purities as high as 99.995% are possible) and in high energy cost regions for lower purities down to 97%.

Range purity: 99% to 99.995%

Flow Rate: 1-1000 Nm³/h

Cost advantage of supplied liquid: up to 50%

Cryogenic Generators

For high volumes (starting at around 400Nm³/h) at higher purities (>99.95%) a cryogenic air separation unit is generally the best fit. These plants are well-suited to merchant industrial gas operations where other air gases Oxygen & Argon can be utilised.

Range purity: 95% to 99.995%

Flow Rate: 1-1000 Nm³/h

Cost advantage of supplied liquid: up to 30%

Membrane Nitrogen Generators

Membrane nitrogen separation use more energy than PSA technology but have lower maintenance costs. Membranes are best suited for purities up to approx. 99% and nitrogen demand of up to around 600 Nm³/hr.

Range purity: 90% to 99.0%

Flow Rate: 1-600 Nm³/h

Cost advantage of supplied liquid: up to 50%

Portable Nitrogen Systems

The designing and delivery of fit-for-purpose Mobile On-site Gas Generators is one of Gas At Site’s core competencies. Units are supplied in robust containers to facilitate handling and are available complete with diesel compressors or externally powered. Additional cooling and specialist certifications are readily arranged.

Range purity: 95% to 99.99%

Flow Rate: 1-1000 Nm³/h
